About

Portrait of Sameeka Prabath

Public health and UX research are two facets of the same, and understanding both is crucial for creating effective digital solutions.

Studying health delivery and access, I kept running into the same truth: good information only matters if people can actually reach it. Technology is the channel most of that information now travels through, which makes design and usability a public-health concern, not a cosmetic one. That's the philosophy in everything I make.

My background is in qualitative and mixed-methods research, so I start by understanding how real people receive and struggle with a product. Then I funnel those findings into accessible design and clear writing. Across internships in health-focused organizations, I've worked on health-literacy communication, service promotion, and accessibility, and I bring that lens to every project below.

Capabilities

What I bring to a team.

01 UX Research

Qualitative and mixed-methods studies, heuristic analysis, and usability evaluation that connect user behavior to design decisions.

02 Accessibility Auditing

WCAG-based audits of structure, contrast, alt text, links, and documents.

03 UX Writing & Content Strategy

Information architecture, plain-language rewriting, and content that guides people toward the action they came to take.

04 Product & UI Design

End-to-end interface design for mobile and web, from flows and wireframes to polished, accessible component systems.

05 Prototyping

Interactive, front-end prototypes (React) that make a concept testable with real users instead of static mockups.

06 Health Communication

A public-health foundation in health literacy, equity, and how design shapes who actually gets served.
